Blessings Always Trust took a bold step to confront one of India’s most deeply rooted yet rarely spoken-about challenges: menstrual hygiene. For millions of women and girls across the country, periods are still shrouded in shame, secrecy, and misinformation. In fact, more than 90% of women in India do not know how to use a tampon, and over 70% are entirely unfamiliar with the product. The numbers aren’t just shocking—they're a silent crisis. We dedicated the year to raising awareness around self-hygiene, with a strong focus on menstrual health. Because hygiene isn't just about staying clean—it’s about dignity, confidence, and the fundamental right to live without shame or stigma.
In collaboration with the state governments of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, we launched large-scale educational campaigns in schools, villages, and urban slums. These weren’t just about distributing tampons—they were about teaching women and girls how to use them safely, why they matter, and how to take care of their bodies with pride and knowledge.
Through workshops, awareness drives, and one-on-one sessions, we tackled the myths and misinformation surrounding menstruation. We talked openly—sometimes for the very first time—with young girls who had been taught to hide their periods and feel ashamed of their natural bodies. We handed out hygiene kits, yes—but more importantly, we handed out truth, confidence, and care.
. And in 2021, Blessings Always Trust made it our mission to break that silence. Because we believe every girl deserves to grow up understanding her body, owning her choices, and feeling no shame in simply being herself. This wasn’t just a campaign—it was a movement to give women and girls the knowledge, tools, and confidence they’ve always deserved.
