In 2017, Blessings Always Trust made a heartfelt commitment to focus on the health and well-being of mothers and their newborns. We dedicated the year to ensuring that every mother, especially those in vulnerable situations such as inter-caste and inter-family marriages, received the support they desperately needed during pregnancy. With this in mind, we provided Anti-D (RhoGam) donations to protect both the mothers and their unborn children from the potential dangers of Rh factor incompatibility.
This issue, often overlooked, can cause severe health risks for both mother and child, and our mission was to prevent it. Throughout the year, we reached over 2,000 women, offering them not just medication but vital education on how to take the necessary precautions, maintain regular check-ups, and preserve medical records to avert life-threatening complications. We understood that, regardless of background, every mother deserves the best possible care, and understanding Rh factor incompatibility is key to ensuring that.
Neonatal health refers to the health of newborns, specifically during the first 28 days of life. This critical period is vital for ensuring the baby’s survival and well-being, as it is a time when babies are most vulnerable to infections, complications, and other health risks.
Our impact reached across more than 30 states in India, where we distributed medicines worth more than 1 crore. This wasn’t just a donation—it was an effort to ensure that every mother had the tools and knowledge to nurture her baby to health. Beyond immediate relief, we sought to spark awareness about the importance of neonatal health, showing that small steps taken during pregnancy can create lifelong health for both mother and child. This initiative was a promise we made to protect futures and honor the life-giving bond between mother and child.
